Clarett was engaged by The Partnership for New York City and New York City Investment Fund to assist in locating and planning a 300,000 sf biotech project, as the initial phase of a plan to develop 1 million sf of commercial research and development space that would make New York a leader in the commercial biotech field. As part of this effort, Clarett developed and outlined specifications and financial feasibility models for both new construction and retrofit projects and assisted The Partnership and a consortium of the city's leading medical schools in preparing and presenting an investment proposal to the Lower Manhattan Development Corp for specific sites.
