As the Principal -In-Charge at Lend Lease Construction, one of the world’s largest construction companies, he built and managed one of the most respected high-rise residential construction groups in NYC. Freed’s groups performed over $3 billion in construction work for New York City’s most prestigious developers, won several significant safety awards, transformed concrete safety, and implemented NYC’s first cocooned buildings and lifting platforms.
Drawing on her 25 years as a top New York City real estate developer and lender, Veronica Hackett co-founded The Clarett Group in 2000. To date, Clarett, has completed ten ground up high-rise residential projects in NYC, nine of which were constructed under Dennis Freed’s direction while at Lend Lease. Clarett projects achieve wide market success and are acclaimed for superb locations, excellent design and high quality construction. Clarett has an exceptional on time, on budget performance reputation with partners and lenders. Ms. Hackett’s other executive experience includes heading development for two multi-national office building development companies, and two public retail companies. She has developed large signature office buildings and projects on a global basis, managed joint ventures with such companies as IBM, JPMorgan and Prudential. She was a key driver in moving a Hudson Yards strategy forward and she played a key role in the transformation of Times Square. She began her career as a real estate lender, reaching the executive ranks at a predecessor bank of JPMorgan Chase before entering the development business.
